"I tell my defender 'I'm not hanging back' and that I'm just going to continue running.

"That movement is what I'm seeking. It's good fun."

In addition to the forward's 6 scores on his first game, Ireland has scored eight in three games for Wythenshawe, while George Boyd scored 5 on his debut match and Lescott, a defender by position, scored a hat-trick in one game up front.

The team are leading of the Premier Division with three victories from 3 and a GD of +19.

One opponent, thirty-eight, who features on the flank for the opposition, came up against ex- Wigan defender Figueroa on the weekend - and had to explain his young son who Heskey was.

"I think I was a bit starstruck facing him to be honest.

"We really haven't stopped chatting about it - I was calling my mother and brother on the way home.

"They were all really nice, shaking our hands after the match - it was like playing a bunch of normal guys.

"Now we can't wait for the second match."
