Automobiles in German City Discovered Marked with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Law Enforcement
Authorities mentioned they were notified by a resident who found a vehicle in Hanau marked with red-colored fluid

Roughly fifty vehicles have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by police.

Cars, building surfaces and mailboxes were defaced, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they announced in a official communication.

Officers state they were contacted late on Wednesday, when a resident noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored substance.

The fluid had been drawn in the form of a swastika, they stated.

Law enforcement then located multiple other marked cars and house walls in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws outlawing the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Police say preliminary tests suggest the fluid was likely human bodily fluid.

"There is still no indication as to where it came from; officials are presently not cognizant of any harm in relation with the occurrence," they added.

Local authorities said they were attempting "to solve the mystery" and have asked to the residents for information.

A senior official stated the attack left him stunned and required to be addressed rapidly.

"This act affects the core of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the far-right violent incident in 2020," he stated on social media, mentioning the death of nine individuals by a assailant focusing on individuals of foreign heritage in February 2020.
