In a surprising collaboration that challenges traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal release, "A strange encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of prohibited rituals and monstrous changes echo through the shadows." The storyline presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret sect.

The mission concentrates on "peculiar trials and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Transformations

The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an unique katana together with multiple items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
